"Nothing Exceeds Success Like Excess"

Hmmm….wonder where that comment came from? It wasn't out of left field, that's for sure! It was from the very well thought out and very well directed "Downton Abbey". It's captured our hearts and minds and quite frankly, it's a breath of fresh air! It gives us insight into the mysterious world of the English Upper Class and Royalty and satisfies that innate desire within a lot of us to pretend that we are what we are not!

And I for one am thoroughly enjoying it!

From this present day….

to the past, you will always find me enthralled with a great English story! One of royalty and loyalty! The family that "plays together stays together!"

And hopefully, the media frenzy will not overwhelm them this time!

Can we all just enjoy a good aristocrat for a while?

Yes, "Nothing Exceeds Success Like Excess!"

So glad this series is back!

  1. Me too! I caught that comment tonight as I watched it. Wasn't Shirley McClain hilarious?! wish they had spent more time on the wedding itself.

  2. I have to admit I only caught a small part of one episode..haven't committed to it yet, maybe I am afraid I will become addicted! If not to drool over the house, location and clothes alone! I must give it a shot this week....its all the talk in blogland this morning!

  4. It's been a long wait, but I'm so happy for the return....Yay!! :) Carolyn, do you have Netflix? You might like the British miniseries: North and South. Some of the same actors from D.A. Really good. Have a great week, Loi
