We Look Forward To Seeing You!

I wish all of my friends…near and far could join us this Thursday! The first reason being is that I have always wanted to truly meet all of my blogging friends that I've made over the years and put a real face with the name! You all have been such an inspiration in so many ways!

The second reason is that I truly believe the artists that we carry are amazing! In so many ways! What a privilege it is to carry so much talent in one little shop!
And to think we are adding another wonderfully talented and gifted artist this time!
I cannot wait to show you Amy Crews and her work! You can see it HERE!

You can also view all of our artists that have been involved in our previous shows just to wet your appetite for Thursday! You can see Melissa Payne Baker Here on her own beautiful website as well as Lauren Dunn Here and Vicki Denaburg Here!
Something new we are doing this year is giving back to The Wellhouse. A wonderful organization that is seeking to stop human trafficking one person at a time…you can see their website if you will just click HERE! A portion of the proceeds are going to help them and I am so excited about that!

So, we've been busy preparing for this wonderful event!
Please join us if you can! You will certainly not be disappointed! Help us spread the word if you can…while I definitely want to promote the artists and their gorgeous pieces of art I also want to benefit The Wellhouse…
Thursday, May 14th
11:00-4:00pm
As always, it will be a fun time of meeting the artists as well as seeing their work up close and personal!
Yummy food is always served and this time a portion of the proceeds will go to help our friends at The Wellhouse.
I know you will enjoy every minute of it!

Did I Mention We Are Having An Art Show?

Did I mention that our own Lauren Dunn was commissioned to paint this gorgeous painting as a gift for  none other than my personal favorite, Luke Bryan? Did I? Probably not since I was sworn to silence but seriously, I'm so glad the silence was broken! Isn't it just beautiful?

Her florals have always stood out to me but these days…it's the cows!
For some reason I am strangely drawn to them.

I am loving her cow paintings and seriously, I hope she brings several of them to the show.
I hope it's not a subliminal message in my mind because of my children and Chickfil-A.
Sure would be a great Chick Fil A painting tho…."Really Kevin?" That is what this painting says to me…but then, I am seriously biased and praying that God 'mooooves' in the life of the CFA people that are making the decisions when it comes to my precious Holly and Brad!

'Moooving' right along…Here is the wonderful ad in the Over The Mountain Journal for our art show this Wednesday! Just take a look at some of the works our artists are bringing with them! I am super excited!

Melissa Payne Baker
Here is a good sampling of Melissa's work…she is one talented lady! She happens to be incredibly beautiful and sweet as well. I love seeing pictures of her precious little boy, Payne! He is a doll!

And for the first time ever we have the pleasure and joy of having sweet Vicki Denaburg with us! We are so grateful to have such a talented artist in the shop that is also a local artist as well as a friend! Thank you, Vicki for allowing us to carry your fabulous work!
I just bought two of her pieces to put in my very own home and I love them!
They literally 'made' the space that I was unhappy with!

And here are just a few more pictures of what Lauren is bringing. I've seen several paintings that she had at a show in Nashville this past weekend and I am drooling! ( Or am I mooing?)

Don't feel bad if you don't get my cow "funnies" right now…to know me is to love me and to love me is to love my children! I just want them home…it's been a long time now and Chick Fil A has moved them around a lot! But you know what, they've done great, we've faired well and the story will always have a happy ending as long as we know that they are right where God wants them to be! God is in complete control!

But just like this precious lab is looking for someone and waiting for someone to come home….So are we!

And just like "Betsy Sue"….we will continue to "Moooove" right along and enjoy the path that God has planned for us since the beginning! But we sure hope you will join us this Wednesday! You won't be sorry! It will be so much fun…the artists are all giving away a painting in a drawing and you don't even have to be present to win! Oh…and then there is lunch! We always provide good food and promise a great time!
What more can you ask for?
Hope to see you Wednesday!

Yes, I'm Dreaming…Of Alot Of Things!

"I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas"!
I am dreaming of a welcoming gate with a beautiful wreath on it just beckoning all of my friends and family into my home!

How about you? If I could...

I would have everything white…and dreamy…

Even my windows would be adorned to say,
"Welcome…come in and sit down!"

I would want the ambiance to convey that for sure!

This is one of the warmest and most welcoming entrances ever!

And I love nothing better than white ironstone and greenery mixed in together….

But would it mean starting over? If I wanted to change over to an all white Christmas?
Isn't that what "white" represents?
A fresh, new beginning?
Maybe I should just try to incorporate a lot of this into my home that is definitely already filled with color and collected memories.

I am definitely loving all of the natural elements in all of these lovely Christmas photos!
Much of these were found on Pinterest and I'm thankful to so many of my blogging friends for posting these wonderful images for all of us to enjoy and take notes from!

I would love for my home to be filled with paperwhites! I love them…but a lot of my friends are bothered by their smell…I can understand that!
But I sure do love the look!

And I also love beautiful amaryllis!
When they do well…they are incredible and such a show stopper!

I may have to decorate a "serving" table just like one of these two gorgeous tables that I found from The Enchanted Home above and The French Tangerine below.

Our party is in less than two weeks! Oh, My!
 I am truly getting excited!

And I know EXACTLY what I'm doing with this image above…I am using it for a huge inspiration for the shop!
I will show you the pictures for sure if it turns out well for the Open House on Thursday!
I can't wait for Melissa to bring her fabulous hand painted wine glasses as well as her incredible paintings on Wednesday to help us get ready for the Open House!

I love this dough bowl above filled with vintage and new ornaments! This is just one way in which we will be getting the shop ready for Thursday!

Whether it's a welcoming gate, a heart warming entrance or a roaring fire on the back porch…it all leads to you to dreaming of that "White Christmas" or just Christmas in general!

And while part of me might be thinking, "Don't let the door knob hit you in the rear end" when I'm tired and cranky from too much festivities….

The other part is thinking this is definitely the most special time of the year! Don't you agree?
Can't wait to talk soon! There will be so many things to discuss!

New Art And A Sennod Trunk Show All In One Week!

It's always a fun time when we get new art from our fabulous artists! I had told them about our upcoming Sennod Trunk Show and they graciously agreed to bring new pieces of their fabulous work to be showcased during the show. We are so blessed to have these talented ladies that show their work at Mulberry Heights Antiques and we are very thankful for them!
We received three new pieces from Melissa Payne Baker on Tuesday….

And then on Wednesday Lauren Dunn graciously brought these paintings as well…it all just enhanced our Sennod jewelry show so much! It was truly incredible!

I wanted you to see these pieces before the weekend…I also was so wanting to show you some highlights from the Sennod jewelry show we just had for the past two days!
I guess I'm getting it in just in the nick of time!

We had such a great time with Michele of Sennod Jewelry

Her line of jewelry is truly in a class by itself and getting to know her over this past year or so has truly blessed me greatly! She is a wonderful person as well as a very talented artisan in the jewelry world! I am looking forward to many more shows with her and cannot wait to meet up with her in New Orleans this weekend while visiting my daughter.selfishly, it's to pick up a piece of beautiful jewelry for myself as I sold a piece to someone today right off of my neck! Oh well! That's what this business is all about! Customer Service at it's best!

And to top it all off... everyone was dying over Alison's gorgeous flowers! You really must check out AKT Designs! Alison's work never ceases to amaze me!
The pumpkin arrangements were a HUGE hit!

I'm hoping everyone enjoyed the food…but hey, that was the least of my worries! I was just thrilled they were enthralled with the fabulous jewelry that Michele brought and that they loved all of the new pieces of art we had hanging around the shop!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Talk to you after New Orleans!
We have another fabulous artist to introduce to you at the end of next week…
